We say this because two of the UK’s longest running video game magazines announced that they are shutting down.

Those magazines are EDGE’s rival **GamesTM** and the informative **GamesMaster**. Future, the company that own both magazines, have announced that the staff will be merged with other publications.

GamesTM launched in 2002 and GamesMaster launched way back in 1993.

> Despite the company’s strong performance overall, unfortunately GamesTM and GamesMaster are no longer profitable parts of the business. The decision was an extremely difficult one, but everyone here is enormously proud of what the magazines have achieved in their lifetimes.

Well while we get that the market for printed media is shrinking it is something we still hold dear in our hearts. We where massive fans of Nintendo (official) Magazine, Nintendo Power and N64 Magazine but well the times have simply changed.

That is why we ourselves have started this website in a still evolving magazine style. Hope we will be able to stand the competition and the test of time.
