Developed by **Tencent** subsidiary **TiMi Studios**, Metal Slug Code:J aims to be “a faithful recreation” of the classic arcade sidescroller for mobile devices. Currently, an exact release date is not known, but previous reports suggest that it will be launching sometime in 2020.

Will this be the new Metal Slug coming to Nintendo Switch? We simply don’t know for sure. It is rumored that Tencent’s TiMi Studios is ONLY working on a mobile version and that SNK themselves are working on a new Metal Slug entry for consoles but we will have to wait and see.
