Unfortunately, this apparently suggests something less than most people had hoped for.

You can unlock new costumes for the heroine Cereza / Bayonetta, with or without new weapons.

The characters you can use are: Link, Princess Peach, Daisy, Samus and Fox McCloud.

This sounds very bold, but these were also already in the Wii U version of the game. Also you can aquire the appropriate costumes simply as you play the game. The latter is a plus though, in that fashion it does not act as an amiibo-wall which people tend to dislike. (BOTW we are looking at you!)

The only real advantage of amiibo’s is the fact you use the look sooner then others can.
