**Taito** has confirmed to a gamer living in Japan that there are no plans to release Darius Cozmic Collection digitally on Nintendo eShop in Japan. This means that the game will be available only at retail “at this time”.

Although the company apologized for the inconvenience caused, it did not explain the rationale behind the lack of a digital release. Things may change after the February 28, 2019 launch, but no promises were made.

Odd really, maybe it has something to do with digital copyrights or something … we honestly can not think of a reason why you would not release a game digitally nowadays.
