Those who were wanting to pick up a physical version of the title may be disappointed to learn that the game will now only be available digitally.

The news comes though **IGN** who have learned of the news via a spokesperson from Bethesda stating that the title is “100% on track for an imminent digital-only release on Nintendo Switch, the absence of a physical release at retail resulted in cancelled pre-orders.

So we still don’t know a solid release date for DOOM Eternal for, but hopefully the statement above means it’ll crop up on digital storefronts very soon. Personally I am of course cancelling my preorder and I’m rethink even getting the title all together for Nintendo Switch.
