The primary reason is that Nintendo wishes to convey the appeal of the recently released Nintendo Switch Lite. We have already had a few Nintendo 3DS franchises on the Nintendo Switch platform with Brain Training coming.

We are all clamouring for a sequel to the excellent 3DS exclusives that have not been ported or mentioned yet. Let’s at least mention Kid Icarus Uprising right here.
