It has been discovered by Gematsu that SEGA filed a trademark for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz on May 21st, not very long after SEGA had filed a “Tabegoro! Super Monkey Ball” trademark in the same month.

It is unknown why, but there is speculation that SEGA is planning to release a Nintendo Switch port of the game.
