Splatoon 3 will get a “large scale paid DLC” at some point in the future, in addition to the usual monthly updates for weapons and customization options. Not much is known about this DLC, but it seems to be the same thing as the Octo Expansion for Splatoon 2.

Nintendo also shared a quick teaser image that hints that Pearl and Marina from Off the Hook, who were missing from the direct, will be back in this DLC.
