Square Enix president and CEO Yosuke Matsuda said in the latest issue of Japanese **Famitsu** that the game is being developed with the future in mind. Mr. Matsuda said the team is planning to take into account the next ten to twenty years of franchise.

It’s unclear how they are looking to accomplish this, but it will certainly be interesting to find out. Perhaps they have looked at Final Fantasy XIV which has been running since 2010.

We shall have to wait and see as many would expect some form of single player campaign as with previous mainline entries.
