The special buddy is a green Palamute designed by the game’s developers named “Wanogre”, named after the monster Zinogre. To obtain this special buddy, players will have to “Download Add-On Content” by speaking to Senri the courier, and then pick it up at the Buddy Handler by selecting “Hire Special Buddy”.

Aside from Wanogre, a new event quest is coming as well. This is the Heart of the Hero where players will have to fight two monsters: Tigrex and Diablos and it will be at the same time. This is going to be a Hunter Rank 8 and when completed, players will get ten new hunter rank titles.

**Canine companions**

New hunting partners called Palamutes can be personalised and used to ride across the terrain, providing players with all-new traveling and attack options. On solo hunts, players can select both a Palamute and Palico to assist them, while multiplayer hunters can bring one or the other into the field.
