Bijgeloof, mystiek en angst voor het onbekende gaven leven aan een pad dat verder ging dan het land van zijn geboorte. We ontmoeten onze heldin Aluna, die als kind de krachtigste van deze scherven heeft gekregen waarvan wordt gezegd dat ze het hart van haar moeder, de godin van de aarde Pachamama, bevat. Door een reeks omstandigheden moet Aluna haar huis verlaten en naar de nieuwe wereld reizen. Aluna vervult haar bestemming, maar dat geldt ook voor het kwaad dat het hunne wil vervullen. Aluna’s verleden leidt haar toekomst en haar vijanden zullen voor niets stoppen om de scherf te stelen en de wereld in handen te nemen …
