Actually, this is a smart move by Game Freak and Koei Tecmo. Life-sims are super popular and letting Ditto learn moves this way adds depth.

Switch 2 sounds like the best compromise if you want to stay portable but still get smooth frames and more town-building options. Not everyone needs 4K to enjoy a good RPG.
