You’ll need at least 5.7 million bells in order to fully upgrade your house.
These include getting;
- your house,
- 2 main room upgrades,
- the north room
- the east room
- the west room
- the second floor
- the basement
What are bells
Bells are one of the two currencies you can spend and earn in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The other currency is Nook Miles. You’ll use bells to pay off your various mortgages, fund upgrades to your island, buy new clothes and furniture, among other activities.
Getting bells (quickly)
- Purchase Bell Vouchers with your Nook Miles.
- Play the stalk market.
- Sell the ‘Hot Item’ of the day at Nook’s Cranny.
- Complete favours for your villagers.
- Selling unwanted furniture.
- Catching and selling fish.
- Find the money rock.
- Catching and selling bugs.
- Visiting Tarantula Island; A community name for a Mystery Island which is filled with Tarantulas.
- Selling shells.
- Selling fossils.
- Shoot down floating presents.
- Shaking trees.
In short a lot of small things add up to more and more Bells.
