Developer Tsuchiya Kazuhiro gives fans a glimmer of hope on X9, during a presentation of the upcoming Mega Man 11 in Taiwan.
He says indirectly that this is actually mainly dependent on the success of that newest member.
In fact, the birth of Mega Man 11 is also the result of the voice of gamers. The Mega Man Collection for it, achieved good results and received good reviews. This is a very convincing point that helps us in striving for approval for developing a new game.
Mega Man X9 – not (yet) in production
Yet this does not necessarily mean that the title actually arrives. At first Kazuhiro reacted very evasively to the Mega Man X9 questions from Chinese media.
About the large spread of ‘Mega Man X9 is under development’ rumors: they are based on nothing. I understand that everyone is looking forward to the birth of an X9, but at the moment I can not verify that.
Of course I can not say that we are not doing anything: we are currently actively and accurately investigating the reactions of the players.
Mega Man 11 appears on October 2 for the Nintendo Switch, in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Blue Bomber.
We have always been a little more fan of the X-series than the ‘normal’ Mega Man series … so let’s hope!
