Nintendo filing trademarks is nothing out of the ordinary, and Nintendo has recently filed a new one whihc caught our eye. However, what they’re trying to trademark may surprise you this time around.
Nintendo Co., Ltd., Creatures Co., Ltd. and Game Freak Inc. have filed a trademark application for the logo that appears on the hat of Ash Ketchum in the Pokémon anime.
According to the application, this is being done for clothing purposes.
Official Pokémon Gear?
Well perhaps there is something of a market for officially licensed Pokémon trainer gear? In Japan we totally see that working. But what do you guys think… are they going to use this for anything really?
Or could it be for special unlockables for the new Nintendo Switch Pokémon title?
