
Despite the world economy and ongoing corona pandemic, it looks like Pokemon GO is still cashing in!
Superdata , in their latest performance report for the games industry, noted that the mobile AR game Pokemon GO. Notably, the game grossed a whopping $111 million during the month of March 2020 – an 18% growth month-over-month (i.e. compared to February 2020).
Growth in this time explained
As many fans will know, Niantic did make adjustments in Pokemon GO to make it something feasible during the current corona pandemic.
One of such changes was that it was easier to encounter Pokemon from one’s home.
Based on these earnings, it’s probably safe to say that this strategy is working to retain players and player-spending overall.
