Game Freak, Nintendo and Creatures Inc., in short, the creators of the Pokémon series have applied for a patent for the term ‘Ultra Shiny’. Here they are very likely referring to Shiny Pokémon; very rare creatures with a different color palette than their original variant.
What does the patent mean?
However, no context has been given to the term, so it is simply stung in what form we are going to see it again. It can be used for the next generation of Pokémon games, but also for the animé or the card games. But in addition it can be a type or even the name of one of the new games (hint Ultra Moon and Ultra Sun …) but we simply do not know.
