Splatoon 2 is very popular, well that in itself is not a surprise right? But Dengeki’s data reveals exactly how much it is.
50% in Japan
As of July 2018, Splatoon 2 has an attach rate of 56.78% in Japan. This means that 1 in 2 Switch owners have bought Splatoon 2. For comparison’s sake, the game had an attach rate of 55.68% a year ago, when the game launched. Which was already insane of course.
One of the main reasons must be how populair the online part is, how much e-sports events there are when it comes to Splatoon2. Another reason might also be the amount of content updates and the Octo Expansion which has been nicely spread over the year.
