Animal Crossing: New Horizons – ESRB Rating – In-Game Purchases removed?

Earlier we noted that Animal Crossing: New Horizons may have some sort of paid DLC or other content based on the wording in the ESRB rating.

Since then, Nintendo’s official site for the game was updated with a revised ESRB rating, which no longer mentions “in-game purchases” as being part of the game. In its place, the ESRB rating now only says “Comic Mischief”.

Oversight or should the possible DLC be kept a secret?

Why the ESRB rating on the website was changed remains unclear, but it is possible that the original ratings image was a mistake on the part of Nintendo’s website.

Or that it simply should not have been included at this time.

Whatever the case, it seems Animal Crossing: New Horizons will not have any paid DLC content after all, barring further clarification from Nintendo.

Let’s just hope the games lives up to the expectations … and with less then a month to go … where is the damn direct for Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
