Bloomberg: Nintendo boosting production in 2023 … because of demand

Nintendo’s possible future intentions for the Nintendo Switch was reflected on by Bloomberg recently

It has been reported by individuals who are “familiar with the situation” that Nintendo intends to increase manufacturing of the Switch in the next fiscal year. Although the firm had previously reduced its sales projection owing to component shortages, they are now allegedly “convinced” that the situation has improved and that there is still considerable demand for the hybrid console. This comes after the company had previously dropped its sales forecast.

More, we need more Nintendo Switches

According to reports, experts were caught off guard by this decision, considering that the Switch has been on the market for anywhere between five and six years at this point. Even though there are no indications that Nintendo will release a next-generation system in the near future, there is a school of thought that believes a drop in demand for the Switch is “inevitable,” despite the fact that there are no signs that Nintendo will release such a system in the near future. It remains to be seen whether or not Nintendo’s expectations will end up contradicting these projections.
