Capcom Japan started a search for licensing partners to assist with the Mega Man Battle Network series’ 20th anniversary in 2021 – possibly hinting at big plans for the franchise next year.
It looks like things might also be heating up for Mega Man Battle Network fans in the west!
Capcom USA’s official Licensing Business site opened a similar exercise to search forEnglish licensing partners for the Mega Man Battle Network series’ 20th anniversary.
Nothing is sure yet
While it might mean nothing … please note that Capcom opened similar applications for Mega Man X’s 25th anniversary in 2016. That recruitment call was followed by the release of various types of merchandise and eventually brought to us Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 in 2018.
So who knows, we might be getting a Mega Man Battle Network collection in the future.
