Thunderful, a publisher of indie games, has announced her first three games and they all come to the Nintendo Switch.
About Thunderful
The company Thunderful was founded in December 2017 and merges three companies that previously made games for Nintendo consoles: Image & Form (SteamWorld Dig 2), Zoink! Games (Fe and Flipping Death) and Rising Star Games (the European publisher of Harvest Moon and Virtue’s Last Reward).
Under the new name Thunderful, the trio joins forces in the field of PR, marketing and more. The company will also issue games from other indie developers.
Hellfront: Honeymoon
The first game is called Hellfront: Honeymoon and was developed by the Swedish indie studio Skygoblin. In this multiplayer twin-stick shooter for up to four players, the playing field is just as big as the screen and every player tries to get as large a part of the playing field under control as possible.
You do this by building bases, managing your troops and radically shooting your enemies yourself. In this way the game tries to find the right balance between skills and tactics.
Hellfront: Honeymoon will be released for the Nintendo Switch later this year.
Lonely Mountains: Downhill
Get on your bike and make your way through the mountains of Lonely Mountains: Downhill. You can choose to take the safe route via the path or with the mentality of a speed runner to hang out the stuntman and take more risks to get down as fast as possible.
In Lonely Mountain: Downhill there are no sponsors, no public, but no guardrail. The Berlin indie-duo Megagon Industries promises only pointed rocks and narrow paths.
Lonely Mountain: Downhill will appear in 2019 for the Nintendo Switch.
Anthill
Before Image & Form released the successful SteamWorld Dig for the Nintendo 3DS, the company created a number of games for mobile devices. One of them is Anthill, a strategy game in which you have to protect the anthill from insects.
By drawing lines on the screen you tell the ant soldiers how to walk. After your troops have defeated an insect, they take the carcass to the anthill for dinner. Anthill now also receives a Nintendo Switch version.
When Anthill is to be released for the Nintendo Switch is not yet known.
