This trailer contains gameplay of Birdo, who will be a playable character on October 1st.

Birdo is characterized as an All-Around character like Daisy, Mario, and Luigi.
People with a Nintendo Switch Online account can unlock Birdo early, starting October 1st, by playing the game’s online mode. Nintendo will properly add her to the game for everyone on November 1st.
This is the same method Nintendo used when adding Diddy Kong to the game.
