During the Nintendo Direct on March 8, Nintendo already made it clear that players would have the chance to give Mario Tennis Aces a chance. Similar to Splatoon (2) and ARMS, Nintendo will open the servers for a weekend before the release of the game.
Nintendo provides more information in a short trailer. The time slot for the so-called Mario Tennis Aces Pre-Launch Online Tournament demo runs from Friday, June 1, through Monday, June 4.

Rewards for participating
All participants receive a reward. By playing only a single match, you get access to Mario’s iconic standard outfit when you purchase the entire game (if you save your save data).
Mario Tennis Aces will appear on June 22 for Nintendo Switch.
