Nintendo has set an immensely high target regarding sales of its Nintendo Switch console. The company set a large target of 20 million Nintendo Switch units by the end of this fiscal year which runs until the end of March.

Speaking to Japanese The Sankei News, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa had the following to say about the target:
It’s a bit high, but it’s achievable. The first order of business, though, is to maximize sales during the holiday rush.
And well let’s be honest they must have done great with hardware sales being boosted by software titles like Pokemon – Let’s Go Pikachu / Eevee and the all out juggernaut that is Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
But I bet we will get a January Nintendo Direct to inform us about the sales, the plans for 2019 in broad strokes and more …Â be on the look out for one to pop up soon.
