Out of stock at several major retailers in Japan

Earlier this month, Japanese retailer GEO warned customers that the dreaded Nintendo Switch shortage is about to return this holiday season.

And all thanks to Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu/Eevee and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate we are now observing early signs of the shortage slowly creeping into Japan.

But Smash is not out yet

Yeah that is the worrying thing about it … because it will not get better then.

At the time of writing, regular Neon Blue/Neon Red and Gray Nintendo Switch sets have ran out online at medium/large size retailers Tsutaya, Yamada Denki, and Nojima Online. Although stock appears to be still plenty on Amazon Japan, things may quickly change as we approach the release of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

We are not expecting stock to be an issue in Europe but … well with Smash Bros Ultimate around the corner, do you really want to risk it?
