Yooka-Laylee had a huge amount of hype before release but that was quickly dampened by the various reviews that appeared.
Playtonic keeps going
However, the team of Playtonic Games is still working on Yooka-Laylee and their next move is the 64-bit mode which was presented as a Kickstarter stretch goal.
It’s clearly meant to replicate how the game would look on the Nintendo 64. Thanks to Playtonic we can now share the first screen of that particular mode:
