Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl for the Nintendo Switch now include the Mythical Pokemon Shaymin.
Both games have been out for a while, but it’s fantastic to see more material for users to enjoy. You’ll be able to get Oak’s letter through Mystery Gift if you update your game and connect to the internet. It’s been verified that you won’t need a Nintendo Switch Online membership to accomplish this.

You can receive Oak’s Letter to add the Mythical Pokémon Shaymin to your team!
It takes approximately two hours of play time before the Mystery Gift feature is unlocked
You can encounter Shaymin in your game after entering the Hall of Fame and obtaining the National Pokédex.
You can obtain the National Pokédex by talking to Professor Rowan after completing the Sinnoh Pokédex.
Please note that only one Shaymin can be caught per save data.
You will need an internet connection to claim this gift, but you will not need a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership. Software update required.
