Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Y-Comm allows players to find out whether a Live Competition is taking place nearby in real life.
They could join the match via LAN Mode by pressing the X button. Also there seems to be a button called “Watch battles” that basically allows players to spectate these matches.
LAN Mode
The LAN mode will allow players to initiate a connection between their consoles so they can fight with other players or participate in Dynamax Raids. Function can be activated by pressing the X button of the Switch.
Spectator Mode
The spectator mode , which we will find in the screen called “Live Competitions” with the name of “Watch Battles”, instead it will allow players to do, indeed, as spectators witnessing the struggles. It seems that the spectator mode will be limited to live competitions and that it will be necessary to connect via wireless or LAN to see the struggles.
