Pokemon Sword & Shield players will be pleased to know they can now get hold of Meowth as a gift in the newly released Pokemon games on Nintendo Switch.

If you claim him you will get a Meowth (Level 5) capable of Gigantamaxing and one who has the moves Fake Out, Growl, Slash, and Pay Day. To claim your Meowth all you need to do is the following;
First of all, a Mystery Gift must of course be available. If you buy the game before January 15, 2020 you will automatically receive a special Meowth as a Gift. You can accept this by opening your menu with X, there you choose Mystery Gift and then “Get a Mystery Gift”, “Get via the internet”.
It then loads the available mystery gifts. You accept this and then you can add it to your team.
As said, Gigantamax Meowth is the first Mystery Gift and you can accept it until January 15, 2020. This Meowth seems to be normal, but has a Gigantamax option during Max Raids, Gym battles and Stadium battles
