Marvelous shared additional gameplay footage for Rune Factory 5, along with more details about the bonus content players will receive, if they have also played Rune Factory 4 Special.

The new footage shows off a new move called “Seed Circle”, which allows players to “freeze enemies and befriend hostile monsters”.

Aside from this, Marvelous also revealed that players who have save data from Rune Factory 4 Special will be able to invite the characters Doug and Margaret to Rune Factory 5.

Both these characters can serve as travel companions for the player, although they cannot be romanced. Completing their character quests will also unlock new outfits for the player in Rune Factory 5 based on the protagonists from Rune Factory 4 Special.
