After the recent Small Battlefield update (8.1.0.), players have discovered a new glitch with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that can crash the game.
Only under specific condtions
The bug only surfaces in under the following specific conditions:
- During stage selection, click “Y” before choosing a Battlefield-type stage to enter the music menu.
- Play any specific song in this menu to preview the track.
- While the song is playing, select “All” and go back to the stage select menu.Try to choose the stage, and the game will crash.

Although this bug requires very specific conditions to trigger, its still quite annoying nonetheless. Hopefully a patch to correct this issue will be released soon.
