Being one of the largest video game companies in the entire world, Nintendo seems to have an archive of every single game released on every Nintendo console in the world.
Yeah … we can not even imagine how big that is.
How this came to light?
A small piece of evidence came out from GameInformer’s interview with Square Enix about Collection of Mana. In the interview, Square Enix’s Oyamada said that the company lost the source code for the original 3 Mana games and had to retrieve them from Nintendo.
And it’s not just for any version of the original Mana games – Nintendo seems to have retained the source code for all regional variants of the Mana games, which include the French, German, British, and American ROMs.
