Bandai Namco merged with ILCA to form Bandai Namco Aces

Bandai Namco and ILCA have announced a merger to establish Bandai Namco Aces, a new studio.

ILCA + Bandai Namco

ILCA was once a CG-based video production business that went on to help development for numerous popular games such as NieR: Automata, Dragon Quest XI, and, most recently, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl.

With this new combination, ILCA controls 49 percent of the new studio, while Bandai Namco owns the remaining 51 percent. Takuya Iwasaki, CEO of ILCA, will be the new CEO and President of Bandai Namco Aces, with Kazutoki Kono (director of Ace Combat) serving as Vice President.

At the time of writing, it is unknown what projects this new company has in the works, while their new official website promises to “continue to provide high-quality material” in the future. Stay tuned for additional information as it becomes available.
