About Capcom Home Arcade System

The HD system comes loaded with 16 fighting classics and is set to launch on 25th October. Here are the details along with the games included and a sneak-peek at the system which retails for £199.99 here in the UK.

  • Emulation provided by FB Alpha
  • Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT sticks with 8-way GT-Y directional gates and OBSF buttons
  • Onboard WiFi for Leaderboards
  • Micro USB powered, only HDMI out support.

Well that was … something. It will not make it into my house as the lineup is … meh to say the least;

  1. 1944: The Loop Master
  2. Alien vs. Predator
  3. Armored Warriors
  4. Capcom Sports Club
  5. Captain Commando
  6. Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness
  7. Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors
  8. Eco Fighters
  9. Final Fight
  10. Ghouls ‘n Ghosts
  11. Gigawing
  12. Mega Man: The Power Battle
  13. Progear
  14. Street Fighter 2: Hyper Fighting
  15. Strider
  16. Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo

The list is certainly not exhaustive and to think that the Capcom Home Arcade games are from Capcom’s CPS1 and CPS2 arcade boards, which had over 60 releases.

Including some notable titles like the initial Marvel vs. Capcom games (X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, and Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes). It’s possible licensing issues have complicated Capcom’s wishes but well … it’s a bit meh.

Insane price

€229.99 for a plug-and-play arcade system featuring support for two players and including 16 classic titles. If that price seems high to you, well we are with you on that. Capcom is kinda insane when it comes to the asking price. Right?
