EDGE magazine is renowned for being a harsh but fair publication and has gained great respect through the years because of that fact.
As we mentioned in the very first item on NintendoReporters EDGE gave Super Mario Odyssey a 10/10. You could be wondering which games the magazine has also awarded a 10/10 besides our favorite plumber.
And there’s quite a few according to the list compiled by an Reset Era member.
Edge 10/10 List
Overall it’s a solid list, but it’s slightly surprising to see some titles on there scoring an actual 10/10. Like we noted we don’t see ourselves handing out 10/10 or in our case 100/100 scores any time soon.

In all fairness we do not agree with all of them or even perhaps most of them. A 10/10 is a rare unicorn which happens once every few years in our opinion. Here we have 30 of them.
Our views on some 10/10s on this list
To take a few from this list; Super Mario 64 at the time deserved it. I can recall the presentation of the N64 (Nintendo64) here in the Netherlands vivdly. I was blown away at that point.
OoT (Ocarina of Time) well that needs no explanation what so ever. A remake of that would be more then interesting to see happen just because of how good the story elements and everything worked.
Super Mario Galaxy is a very very good game, but in our opinion not a 10/10, same goes for SMG2; greaaat game but not the unicorn like the other two we just mentioned.
Goldeneye is GREAT but has some things that make it not worth a 10/10 is it still the best Bond game ever. Hell yeah!
We would even be so bold as to say; BOTW is not a 10/10 (and yes we still need to review it and it’s coming but we gave away here first that it’s not going to be a 100/100), For Super Mario Odyssey we already gave our review.
