Golden Joystick Awards 2018 – the Winners

The Golden Joystick awards ceremony has took place and what most of you want to know is who claimed this year’s coveted Game of the Year award.

Yay … Fortnite … yaay

It turns out it was Epic Games with their free-to-play title Fortnite which is available to download right now on the Nintendo Switch eShop.  Sorry I am just not a fan of this in my opinion way too overhyped title. There are games more deserving of that title on multiple systems

But let’s see what else happend;

The Winners

Ultimate Game of the Year – Fortnite Battle Royale (runners up Red Dead Redemption 2 and Black Ops 4)

Cool to see Dead Cells getting what it deserves. Octopath as Nintendo GOTY … I am a bit conflicted about that but sure.

BUT naming Red Dead Redemption 2 as a runner up to Fortnite … you should all be ashamed of yourselves. And yes that is coming from a Nintendo fanboy.
