Iizuka wants to work on a new Sonic Adventure title

Takashi Iizuka, the head of Sonic Team, spoke on the IGN live broadcast and revealed that he would love to resume the popular Sonic Adventure series, which debuted on the Dreamcast in 1998.

He said that Sonic Frontiers may pave the way for a new Sonic Adventure game because of the team’s expertise working with the new game engine and their ongoing experience accommodating Sonic in a vast open 3D area.

Iizuka-san:

I’ve stated it before, but I’d want to see the Sonic Adventure series continue. Sonic Adventure also has smaller open areas called Adventure Fields. I believe we used what we learnt with them to this game as well. I haven’t planned my next game yet. However, I believe it would be beneficial if we could apply what we learn in this game to Sonic Adventure.
