Illumination, the studio currently producing the Super Mario movie in partnership with Nintendo, has apparently seen little impacts from COVID-19. Which in return should mean the movie will be released as scheduled.
Established practice
This is because the remote working that has become a new normal for so many people has been an established practice for production of animated movies, especially at Illumination.
In fact, Deadline reported that “a source close to Illumination described the past two months as an extremely productive, innovative and creative time at the company”, suggesting that things are still going okay.
Still we have not seen anything from the Mario movie up until this point. Shouldn’t it at least be a good time to tease a poster or something?
