The special announcement will be made sometime next week. Sad to say they didn’t mention whether it’s related to the SteamWorld series so we have to wait and find out what that announcement is all about.
About Image & Form
Image & Form International Aktiebolag is a Swedish video game developer based in Gothenburg. Founded by Brjánn Sigurgeirsson in 1997, the company started out developing educational software before shifting to video games in 2009. Image & Form is best known for its SteamWorld series, which had its latest release with SteamWorld Dig 2 in September 2017.
On 25 January 2018, Image & Form announced it had together with Zoink, another Gothenburg-based studio, formed a new parent company called Thunderful and a new sister-company called Thunderful Publishing that will help the studios with publishing related tasks and also look for third-party games by other developers.
Image & Form is still a separate company with a dedicated development team and will continue development of its own games in the SteamWorld franchise.
