Klonoa anime film is cancelled

You may remember that an animated movie based on the charming Klonoa series was in the works.  Yeah you also read was …

Cancelled

However, the creator behind the manga, Hitoshi Ariga, has revealed  that the movie has now been cancelled.

On October 27, 2016, it was announced that a film adaptation is under pre-production at Henshin. It was announced on January 10, 2017 that Hideo Yoshizawa had joined the project as executive producer. Ash Paulsen of GameXplain also joined in as a associate producer.

Now after two years with no real updates, writer Hitoshi Ariga confirmed the project was cancelled

Ariga has apologised to fans who were looking forward to the film and couldn’t be specific why the film didn’t come together. The Klonoa film was being produced by Rob Pereyda and the script was written by Ariga.

When I come to think of it … what ever happened to Klonoa. I played it back when the PS2 was a thing … but nothing Klonoa-ish has happened for a while.
