Mario Kart Tour no more gacha + battle mode

Mario Kart Tour no more gacha + battle mode

Nintendo has said that the annoying gacha parts of Mario Kart Tour will be taken out by the end of this month.

That means you won’t be able to use the pipes, which you used to fire up with in-game rubies to get random costumes, characters, and karts. Instead, you’ll probably be able to buy the costumes, characters, and karts you want directly with rubies. This could be related to the fact that the European Union is still trying to stop loot boxes.

Mario Kart Tour players will also be happy to hear that Battle Mode is finally coming.

Nintendo confirms

A sneak peek at the update coming to #MarioKartTour in late September. Battle mode and a Spotlight Shop, where you can trade rubies for drivers, karts, and gliders, will be added. Also, the pipes that can be lit with rubies will be taken away.
