Metroid Dread has been a wonderful return to form for the Metroid franchise after Metroid: Other M and Metroid Federation Force where not that liked.
The producer behind Metroid Dread, Yoshio Sakamoto, took part in an interview with technology publication CNET where he was asked a number of questions about the Metroid series.
As we are going to get the Super Mario Movie debut in December next year, a DK movie is rumored, what would he think about a Metroid movie. A Metroid movie would be very interesting to see from Nintendo. Mr. Sakamoto said and he personally hopes it becomes a reality someday.
Metroid movie … well why not?
CNET: Speaking of the recent Super Mario movie announcement, a Metroid movie would be interesting. I have no idea who’d be cast as Samus.
Sakamoto: So that is something very interesting. Personally, I hope that it does become a reality someday.
Well with recent Illumination news, who knows. If the Super Mario Bros. is a success I would not see a reason why they should not explore either Donkey Kong or Metroid. The Legend of Zelda … well I am a bit hesitant of that one.
