Mobile games – $1.79 Billion in Lifetime Global Player Spendings

Nintendo entered the mobile market some years ago with games such as Super Mario Run, Fire Emblem Heroes, and others. The company’s mobile endeavors have so far paid off for sure.

Mobile games sales figures breakdown

Nintendo has reached $1.797 billion in mobile lifetime worldwide player expenditure to date, according to mobilegamer.biz and Sensor Tower statistics, due to Fire Emblem Heroes, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, Mario Kart Tour, Dragalia Lost, Super Mario Run, and Dr. Mario World. Fire Emblem Heroes has earned the most money of these games, with $983 million in user spending thus far. Meanwhile, Dr. Mario World has the lowest lifetime revenue of $14 million.

Super Mario Run was still the most downloaded game in history, with 307 million downloads, followed by Mario Kart Tour, which had 224 million downloads. Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is in third position with 65 million downloads, while Fire Emblem Heroes is in fourth place with 18 million downloads.

Overall, it seems that most of Nintendo’s mobile projects have been profitable so far – however the recent closing of Dr. Mario World and the impending closure of Dragalia Lost suggest that Nintendo is dialing down some of its efforts and concentrating on a narrower pool of titles.
