Nintendo files trademarks for Game Boy Color and GBA in Japan

Nintendo filed trademark applications for some well-known products it seems in Japan. The trademarks are for  “Game Boy Color” and “GBA”.

Both were filed by Nintendo on 14 October 2021, although they were only recently published in November 2021.
Both trademarks apparently apply to uses such as “video game program, downloadable video game program” and more.

Rumors here we go

While Nintendo renewing its trademarks isn’t anything special, there have actually been recent rumors that Game Boy and Game Boy Color titles could eventually be coming to the Nintendo Switch Online service.

It remains to be seen whether or not that is the case.

Gameboy collection offers a lot

But what titles of the entire Game Boy series would you like to see make their way to Nintendo Switch Online if true?

Personally I have quite a few I would like to see, ranging from Super Mario Land 2 – The Six Golden Coins to the various Pokemon titles, Zelda and Metroid titles to even some what obscure classics like the Kuru Kuru Kururin series.
