You might not have wondered it yourself but Nintendo is here to correct you on how to pronounce NES if you are doing it wrong.

NES which is short for Nintendo Entertainment System we all know that but how to pronounce it correctly? Well, Nintendo has provided the answer in the recently released WarioWare Gold on the Nintendo 3DS. The correct pronunciation according to Nintendo is that NES is pronounced “Ness”.
In the museum section of the Japanese version of Wario Ware Gold, you can unlock some slides showcasing the Famicom. Also included is a picture of the NES. Within the description, Nintendo themselves says that “NES” is pronounced “Ness”. pic.twitter.com/Vg5JjXgJgy

Did you pronounce it correctly? We ourselves always called it the N-E-S or Nintendo Entertainment System so … we have learned something ourselves in this case!
