Nintendo sometimes goes the weird route, we all know that … but well they now issued a patent for a folding storage box in Japan.
Well no surprise but the patent office has approved this patent.
New Labo option?
According to the patent’s specifications, it aims to improve the appearance of a storage box after it has been folded. The box is made of cardboard and isn’t limited to die-cut cardboard.
Images used in the 15 page application added below which highlight the folding process. Please note that while the storage box in the application is made of cardboard, the patent specifies that the material is not limited to corrugated cardboard.
This patent could be for the Nintendo Labo Storage Box, which was released in Japan in 2018.
