In the past Nintendo launched Nintendo LABO, a toys-to-life concept where players could build cardboard “toy-cons” that could then be used to play various games.
Though it was pretty well-received after it’s initial launch, Nintendo made little to no significant news or announcements for LABO for quite some time.
Time to say goodbye to Nintendo LABO?
A Twitter user by the name of @Akfamilyhome noted Nintendo appears to have taken down the North American website for the LABO kits, the link instead is redirecting to the LABO VR Kit store page.
It's a shame they couldn't explore it more, it may have started off with a more gimmicky play-once-and-never-again vibe, but the later sets really showed off a lot of potential and it's still a genuinely educational tool.
Looking forward to what they come up with next!— Akfamilyhome (@Akfamilyhome) April 15, 2021
While there is confirmation that LABO has been discontinued, it does suggest that Nintendo is only interested in promoting the Toy-Con VR Kit at current time.
It appears to be the only LABO product with uses outside of its original concept.
One person by the likes of none other than Emily Rogers even went so far as to note there is one more thing coming;
Eh, we'll get one more tiny announcement before Labo rides off into the sunset.

Personally I never had any connection what so ever to Nintendo Labo (me being a 35 year old that is)
