Earlier this week Sony debuted their own version of a Nintendo Direct, however, it appears the presentation had an unintended effect.

Over on Twitter, #NintendoDirect trended during the course of Sony’s State of Play due in fact to the gaming community flooding the social media platform with explicit comparisons of State of Play with Nintendo’s signature Direct videos.
Sadly for Sony, their first presentation even though a Nintendo Direct rip-off has not been well received by the community.
To give that some more weight; On Youtube, the State of Play video has garnered a whopping 24K of dislikes, with only 7.4K likes. Still, there is much room for improvement and we wish our friends over at Sony all the best. (Simply put competition breeds creation)
