Following cancellations of the Pokemon World Championships and tournament circuit, The Pokemon Company announced the cancellation of the Pokemon Japan Championships.
For now though it seems it has not been rescheduled
About Pokemon Japan Championships 2020
The championships, originally scheduled for late June 2020, have been cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak that has become extremely serious in the region of Japan.
The Pokemon Company stopped giving out participation passes as the championships have been canceled.
The Pokémon World Championships are the pinnacle of competitive Pokémon play. Typically occurring in August of each year, the Pokémon World Championships feature the best Pokémon TCG and video game players from around the globe.
Players compete for thousands of dollars in prizes, the title of Pokémon World Champion, and return invitations for the following year’s Worlds.
